Our History

Richmond Auto Body is a third generation family business that has been in operation for over 55 years. That is what makes us different; we are able to provide you with a family-orientated customer experience while promising you state of the art facilities, equipment and technicians.

Richmond Auto Body was founded in 1960 by Robert ‘Bob’ Lowe at the age of 25 under the slogan “Quality Above All Else”. After several years working as a body and paint technician, Bob knew he could make it on his own using his technical experience.

His youngest son Randy joined the family business after high school and worked for years as an estimator before taking over as the owner/operator of Richmond Auto Body once Bob retired.

Randy’s three children Scott, Emily and Megan all work for the family business in different capacities and are all involved in the business’s daily operations.

We are proud to be one of the oldest collision companies in British Columbia and although we have grown immensely since our opening in 1960, our slogan for “Quality Above All Else” remains.
